A Note From Pastor Robert:

A special month to celebrate – Moms! We owe a lot to our moms; they have fed, bathed, and taught us many things. We have also taken on many of their characteristics for the good and not-so-good. The Bible tells us that a virtuous woman is hard to find. But when you find one, their worth is far more valuable than rubies. (Proverbs 31:10-31)

As we look over the list found in Proverbs 31, we may think, “That is Wonder Woman.” How can anyone do all this? But remember that the list shows a woman whose life is found in fulfilling God’s desire for being a mom and not putting forth any needless energy and effort towards things that don’t matter eternally. The result is that “her children rise and call her blessed; her husband also praises her: “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” (vs. 28&29)

As parents, we look to live out the godly attributes of our moms, and maybe you are the one who is starting those godly attributes that your children will be able to mimic. The good news is that in the things we can count on, as we are following the Lord, the example we will leave will be good for our children to follow.

May this month find you remembering our moms and our military as we celebrate both of them. If you have any questions or comments, please talk with me anytime.
